Things to do on Hanham High Street
A Local's Guide to Hanham High Street: Supporting Local, One Visit at a Time. If you live in Hanham, you'll know that our High Street has something really special. It's not packed with big chain stores instead, it's full of independent businesses, friendly faces, and a real sense of community. Whether you're visiting for the first time or you've lived here for years, here are some of our favourite ways to spend a morning or afternoon in Hanham including a cheeky sauna session.

What makes Hanham different is its community feel. It isn't somewhere you rush through—it's somewhere you slow down.
Browse the shops, grab lunch, take a riverside walk, and support the independent businesses that make our High Street so unique. Whether you're collecting a thoughtful gift, meeting a friend for coffee or enjoying a walk by the River Avon, Hanham has everything you need for a relaxed day close to home.
As a local business ourselves, we're incredibly proud to be part of this wonderful community. Every time you choose to shop locally, you're helping keep Hanham's High Street thriving and that's something worth celebrating.
If we were to plan your perfect day it would look a little something like this.
Start your day with a coffee
There's nothing better than beginning your day with a great coffee. Grab a drink and a treat from The Beacon Cafe for a relaxed catch-up with friends. Or simple swing by Parsons for your coffee hit on the go.
Browse our independent shops
One of the best things about Hanham is that so many independent businesses have stood the test of time. Treat yourself to a browse in Pzazz, where you'll find beautiful cards, gifts and little treasures for every occasion.
Need something practical? A S Golding is the kind of traditional hardware shop that's becoming increasingly rare. Whether you're after DIY essentials or just some expert advice, it's a true High Street gem. Local residents often praise the personal service and the fact you can buy individual parts rather than full packs.
Time to switch off and give yourself some selfcare
With the Wellness Collective now in the middle of the high street, you can come and use our infrared sauna surround by beautiful plants. Then pop to Harper Victoria for a massage and maybe some nails.
Stop for lunch
If you've worked up an appetite, Hanham has plenty of options. Enjoy a leisurely lunch or evening meal at Zest or Italian kitchen which are both local favourite known for its welcoming atmosphere.
Stretch your legs
One of Hanham's biggest attractions is how easily you can swap the High Street for nature.
Just a short walk away you'll find Conham River Park, with beautiful riverside paths that are perfect for walking, running or simply enjoying some fresh air. If you continue along the river you'll reach Hanham Lock, one of the prettiest spots in the area, particularly on a sunny afternoon.
For something a little quieter, Magpie Bottom offers peaceful woodland walks and plenty of wildlife to spot throughout the year.
